Run #41 Walthers HO Scale Two Bay Airslide Covered Hopper

RUN # 41: Walthers HO scale Two Bay Airslide Covered Hopper Car are a scale 50’ long and accurately represent the 4100 cu. ft. cars that were built by General American Transportation Company (GATX) in April 1971 and were leased to WM. These cars are fully assembled and are painted in the proper light gray color with black speed lettering and some red lettering also. Included in the box are the waterslide decals for the side numbers, end numbers and the discharge bays. The Barber 100 Ton trucks are molded in the same color as the car and come with turned metal wheelsets, along with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. These cars are lettered for those in service after 6-21-71. These cars are available without numbers so you can apply any one of the 5 prototypical numbers you want to the cars or if you purchase more than one of the cars, you can have all 5 of the first numbers (5558 to 5562) WM had leased. Cars have a new date of NEW 4-71 and a built date of BLT 4-71. If you would like to have the next 5 prototypical numbers that WM had leased, you’ll need to change the new date to NEW 7-71 and the built date to BLT 7-71 to have the correct info for numbers (5563 to 5567). The main commodity for these cars was flour. Decals are supplied in each box to do any one of the 10 car numbers, there are extra side numbers just in case you need them.
